Ballistic experts analyse evidence linked to Mogotsi's alleged attempted hit

Ballistic experts have arrived at the Vosloorus police station to analyse firearm evidence related to an alleged attempted hit on North West businessman Brown Mogotsi.

The controversial businessman was allegedly shot at in Ekurhuleni on Monday night.

Police have opened an attempted murder case, but the details of his shooting still remain sketchy.

A red Chevrolet sedan stands at the Vosloorus Police Station, its passenger window shattered, and glass fragments littering the seats.

Visible bullet holes mark the passenger door, the windshield, and an area just above the right-hand side tyre.

Ballistics experts are on scene, documenting each bullet hole and analysing the firearm evidence.

Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said an investigation into the alleged attempted hit is underway.

“We have our forensic experts that were on scene last night. We have our ballistic experts that have arrived. They are still investigating as to what exactly transpired. They have collected all physical and material evidence.”

Mogotsi, who was scheduled to be at the Vosloorus police station at 8 o’clock on Tuesday morning to submit his statement, is nowhere to be found.
