A man arrested for allegedly dealing in marijuana will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Maitland police received a tip-off of a large consignment of drugs being held in Auckland Street, Paarden Island.
Officers mobilised at the mentioned address and searched the area and occupant, where they found marijuana with a street value of R100,000.
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk said the police’s swift response led to the arrest of the man.
"This resulted in the confiscation of a consignment of dagga, as well as other dagga-related products with an estimated street value of R100,000. The members subsequently arrested a 35-year-old man on a charge of dealing in dagga."
