Former Vlakplaas commander and notorious apartheid assassin Eugene de Kock has been hospitalised for possible heart failure.

De Kock’s ill health was confirmed during court proceedings today (Tuesday) on day two of the Cradock four inquest before the Gqebherha High Court.

The inquest was set up to establish if the apartheid security branch police, or any other persons, can be held liable for the deaths of some anti-apartheid activists.

However, his legal team told Judge Thami Beshe, who is presiding over the inquest, that his health deteriorated on Friday before he was admitted to a health facility.
