Two suspected gun peddlers have been nabbed in separate incidents in the city.

Two suspected gun peddlers have been nabbed in separate incidents in the city. 
On Thursday night, Anti-Gang Unit members arrested a 37-year-old man after searching a house in Mentz Court in Hanover Park.
Officers seized a 9mm pistol with ammunition and mandrax tablets. 
The man is expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on Friday on gun and drug possession charges. 
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said that a second arrest was made in Mitchells Plain.
"The members searched a premises in Lekkerwater Street, Tafelsig, and found 68 and a half mandrax tablets in the house. A 56-year-old male was arrested for the possession of mandrax tablets. The suspects will appear in the Athlone and Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate's Court."
