Four people killed in head-on collision on the N2 between Mkhondo and Pongola

Four people have been killed in a head-on collision on the N2 between Mkhondo and Pongola in Mpumalanga on Sunday.

Three of the victims were reportedly passengers in a sedan that collided with a light delivery vehicle.

Authorities say a pedestrian’s body was also found near the wreckage.

Provincial Community Safety Spokesperson Moeti Mmusi said that investigations into the accident are ongoing.

"All victims died at the scene. The male driver and a child passenger sustained serious injuries and were subsequently rushed to the nearby hospital in Emkhondo.
