The judicial commission of inquiry into the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) has issued a formal call for submissions as it intensifies its efforts to gather evidence in support of ongoing investigations.
The commission is calling on all affected individuals and organisations to submit witness statements, memoranda, reports, or any other documentation that could assist it with its terms of reference.
The inquiry, established by President Cyril Ramaphosa and chaired by retired Constitutional Court Judge Sisi Khampepe, is tasked with looking into whether there was any interference in the investigation or prosecution of apartheid-era crimes.
