The officer, Constbale Mnqobi Shangase, was killed in a road rage incident in 2023.
Police said Manyu opened fire first and was killed in the shootout that ensued.
His family believes he was wrongfully targeted.
“If the police are so much of hard workers, why didn’t they investigate the previous shooting of my husband? He was shot and spent four months in hospital. He opened a case [and] till now, nothing has been done,” said his wife, Buyisile Magwaza.
