CAPE TOWN - The increase in violent crime in Cape Town will be the focus of discussions in Khayelitsha on Tuesday.
The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service (CSPS), Director-General Thulani Sibuyi, will be meeting with community crime-fighting structures following the escalation of violence in the metro recently.

Western Cape police have confirmed more than 30 murders across Cape Town in the past two months due to mass shootings.
The recent gun violence has been linked to extortion, taxi feuds, and gang-related violence.
Sibuyi’s visit to Cape Town takes place against the backdrop of deadly taxi-related shootings in Cape Town in the past 24 hours.
Nine people, including taxi drivers and commuters, were shot in separate attacks in Philippi East and Khayelitsha on Monday.
Three people died and others were critically injured in both shootings.
