JOHANNESBURG - Floyd Shivambu said the Afrika Mayibuye consultative process must end in September in order to officially launch the organisation as both a movement and party seeking to contest the upcoming local government elections.
He told supporters gathered at the Johannesburg City Hall on Sunday afternoon that they are already in the process of registering the organisation.

The former uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party secretary general had previously denied he was starting a political party, instead opting to consult on whether this would be a welcomed idea.
And now, before even completing consultations, he said the time has come to prepare for the polls.
"It's not a secret that overwhelming views from the people of South Africa and all the provinces that we’ve gone to as far, the overwhelming view, even from all the regions of Gauteng, which were consulted, and provincial consultation team has done is that we should constitute Afrika Mayibuye into a revolutionary political movement."
