JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng MEC for human settlements, Tasneem Motara, will conduct an oversight visit to several hostels in Johannesburg's inner city on Wednesday as part of a follow-up on ongoing upgrades and intervention by the department.
The officials will begin at the George Goch hostel, followed by visits to MBA, Murray & Roberts, Jeppe and Denver hostel.
The visit forms part of the Siyeza Nakuwe service delivery campaign, which is the department's way of exploring options to resolve existing challenges.
Provincial human settlements spokesperson, Tahir Sema: "The visit forms part of the Siyeza Nakuwe service delivery campaign, which aims to bring government services to communities and assess the implementation of key human settlement projects on the ground."
