First batch of young CT footballers stranded in Portugal to arrive back home on Wednesday

CAPE TOWN - The first batch of young football players, who’ve been stranded in Portugal, are set to arrive in Cape Town on Wednesday afternoon, finally putting an end to their nightmare.
The group of 28 will be split into three groups, each accompanied by a coach on their journey back home.
Speaking to CapeTalk’s Clarence Ford on Tuesday, one of the coaches, Jesse Julius, said they were grateful for the outpouring of support and donations.

"I place my side together with the other coaches like just being in a position to see what the kids went through this week is heartbreaking. It's been crazy at times, as coaches, we felt helpless, but we also had to ensure that we keep our heads, that we keep it together to ensure that we are strong so we can be there for the kids."
