CAPE TOWN - Two women linked to the fatal shooting inside the Wynberg Magistrates Court will know on Thursday whether they’ll be released on bail.
Shireen Matthews and Wanay Farao are charged with the premeditated murder of Dingalomoya Chintso on April 8 this year.
Chintso, a taxi owner from Vrygrond, was in court consulting with his lawyer for a murder case he was involved in at the time of the attack.
Shireen Mathews, Abubaker Adams, Brian Booysen, Wanay Farao, and Vuyisani Zengethwa are all accused of having a hand in the brazen courthouse hit.
Prosecutors believe Matthews is the mastermind.
Matthews and Farao, an alleged gun smuggler, are the only two who've applied for bail.
Both women have denied any involvement in the murder and have pleaded with the court to release them as their families depend on them.
The State, however, is opposing their bail bid, arguing the pair was on the run before their arrests and gave fake addresses to the police.
The prosecution said it has ample evidence, including CCTV footage linking all the accused to the murder.
