Airports Company South Africa has placed Joubert as the acting group executive for enterprise security and compliance, following Petros’s precautionary suspension.

Petros, who has held the position for several years, is under investigation for alleged operational irregularities.

In a statement, ACSA explained that the probe was being conducted independently and that Petros would remain suspended until the process was complete.

The company has reassured stakeholders that airport operations would not be affected.

In her interim role, Joubert will oversee security threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments at all airports managed by ACSA.

The company said it would provide further updates once the investigation concluded.
