The investigating officer, Sergeant Moses Semosa, was called to the witness stand to give an account of his investigation.
Mnisi had told the court that Semosa has a personal vendetta against him, claiming there is no proof of why he's linking him to the crime.
Semosa rebutted those claims, saying that a statement given by a witness, Neliswa Msthali, saw Mnisi and Fose together.
Semosa explained: “The witness mentioned that on the day of the 31st of May [2025], which it was on Saturday, she saw the applicant before court getting inside the house of number 251 Solplaki Street in the afternoon after 6h00.
“According to the witness, the two they went inside, after some few minutes, [the applicant together with the deceased] the applicant before court, he went outside alone, then he came back again having two bunny chows, and got inside the same house.”
