ATM hopes MK Party leader Zuma preaches importance among progressive caucus parties

DURBAN - The African Transformation Movement (ATM) says it hopes uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party leader Jacob Zuma will preach the importance of unity among political parties in the progressive caucus.
ATM leader Vuyo Zungula and a number of his party’s supporters are among those attending the MK Party’s first-year anniversary in Durban.

Zungula said Zuma must highlight the importance of different political formations working together.
“I think it is just to also emphasise the need to unite or the need to have unity with different political parties because unity with different political parties essentially means we continue to exist and grow but we work together.”
Zungula added that the unity of progressive forces could also end the government of national unity (GNU) coalition.
“This GNU [Government of National Unity] that we see now is not going to do anything in terms of returning the land. Even now we see the unemployment going up simply because the GNU is failing.”
