JOHANNESBURG - There has been no sight of former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi at the party’s elective conference on Friday.
Last month, reports emerged that Ndlozi had been barred from attending the conference due to growing pressure for him to be elected to the EFF's top six leadership positions.
More than 2,500 eff members from across the country are gathered at Nasrec in Johannesburg for the organization's third National People's Assembly (NPA).
During the gathering, a new set of leaders will be elected.

Despite being asked multiple times to clarify reports regarding EFF's head of political education being barred from attending the conference, the party's leader, Julius Malema has refused to address these questions.
Ndlozi has faced significant criticism in recent months, with Malema accusing him of failing to publicly defend the party when it was under attack.
This is what EFF Secretary General Marshall Dlamini had to say about Ndlozi.
"We are not going to reduce this conference to an individual. We are here now at the third NPA, and this NPA is going to prove that no one is bigger than the organisation."

It's believed that Ndlozi was among those aware of Floyd Shivambu's decision to leave the EFF for the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) but failed to inform the party leadership.
Meanwhile, Malema has criticised the MK Party, claiming there is nothing progressive about former president Jacob Zuma's organisation.
Although the two parties are partners in parliament’s Progressive Caucus, Malema emphasised the importance of defining what it truly means to be a leftist party.
He said the MK Party has yet to provide any evidence to prove it is truly progressive or leftist.
"To merely say you are progressive does not mean you are progressive. To merely state that you are on the left and or that you are black conspicuous, does not make you leftist or black conscious. To belong to these categories is proven through action, through ideological persuasion and through practice," he said.
