Snow has fallen in Saudi Arabia’s desert for the first time in recorded history.
The Al-Jawf region witnessed an extraordinary sight as snowfall blanketed the desert after heavy rain and hailstorms.
“This is a part of the world where temperatures in summer get to 55°C in June to about August. We know the desert can get chilly at night, but snowy at night?”
