Kumalo said McCauley’s legacy lives on through the powerful teachings he has left behind.
"Good night Pastor Ray. You have rooted me in my faith. The people’s pastor...may your soul rest in peace and rise in glory with the Saints."
COLLABORATION BETWEEN RELIGIOUS LEADERS AND GOVT
Gauteng Social Development MEC Faith Mazibuko urged religious leaders to strengthen their collaboration with the government in honour of the McCauley.
Speaking at the funeral, Mazibuko delivered a heartfelt eulogy for the beloved Christian leader.
Mazibuko praised McCauley for his unwavering ability to maintain strong relationships with government officials across all levels, recognising his efforts to bridge the gap between faith and governance.
“To work in partnership with government, to help bring about change in our country. This does not mean that the religious sector should compromise its spiritual calling to guide the Lord’s flock, nor does it mean that it should not hold government’s feet to the fire.”
