JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the Democratic Alliance (DA) should never be allowed to govern the City of Tshwane ever again.
Malema was speaking at a public lecture his party held at the University of Pretoria on Friday, just days after the red berets joined forces with the African National Congress (ANC) and ActionSA to push the DA out of power in the metropolitan.
ActionSA's Nasiphi Moya was elected the capital’s new mayor on Wednesday.
Malema told students at the event why the eff wanted the DA out of power.
"We removed it because these people were not taking services to Soshanguve or Mabopane or Mamelodi or Atteridgeville because they took all the resources and channelled them in the white suburbs," he said.

Malema also mentioned allegations of corruption in the city under the DA's watch, listing the Glad-Africa multi-billion rand saga, millions set aside for the Rooiwal wastewater treatment project that went missing, and irregular expenditure as serious causes for concern.
He also had some choice words for the DA's John Steenhuisen, who earlier attempted to "school" the EFF on Parliament’s ethics committee, following a complaint about some of the appointments in the Agricultural Minister's office.
"He must first school himself before he can school anyone, fighters, DA is the most corrupt organisation, because racism is corruption and we must never allow them to continue their racism in Tshwane," Malema said.
