The union appealed to workers to come out in their numbers and join the National Day of Action against the high rate of unemployment.

It said the cost of living, high Eskom tariffs, and corruption are among the issues plunging many South Africans into poverty.

In the Western Cape, the provincial march will assembly from Hanover street next to Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and head to the provincial legislature and Parliament.
