CAPE TOWN - The bail application of 2 men linked to a foiled cash-in-transit heist in Khayelitsha could not go ahead as planned on Wednesday after it emerged that one of the accused's parole has been revoked.
Sihle Mabhongo and Simphiwe Mzanywa were expected to apply for bail at the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court.
However, it appears Mzanywa's parole on a different case was revoked by the parole board on Tuesday.
Mabhongo and Mzanywa were part of a group of five suspects who were arrested in a police operation in Khayelitsha earlier this month, for allegedly planning to rob a cash van in the township.

They were both wounded in a shootout with police where eight other suspects were killed.
Mzanywa, who had a cast on his leg and using a walker, was flanked by heavily armed correctional services officers.
Mabhongo emerged from the holding with a blanket over his shoulders.
His lawyer asked to be excused from the case due to non-payment of his legal fees.
The Hawks are pursuing three more suspects in the case who were earlier released, after it emerged that they were not charged and brought to court within 48 hours of being arrested, as required by law.
