Six people shot and killed in Umlazi
It’s understood that unknown gunmen opened fire on three men who were seated outside a rented accommodation in the area on Sunday night, two people inside the house, and one other shortly after leaving the scene outside the home.

DURBAN - Six people have been shot and killed in Umlazi, south of Durban.
It’s understood that unknown gunmen opened fire on three men who were seated outside a rented accommodation in the area on Sunday night.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said the group of men then proceeded inside the house, where they killed two other people and another one shortly after leaving the scene outside the home.

Police have since launched a manhunt.
“The suspects proceeded to the landlord's house where they shot him and another man who was also inside the house. The suspects also shot another man on the pathway. All six victims, aged between 20 and 40 years old, were declared dead at the scene.”
He said police are yet to determine the motive behind this attack.
“The motive of the killings is unknown at this stage.”
