ANC disciplinary hearing against Zuma to take place virtually

JOHANNESBURG - Former African National Congress (ANC) president Jacob Zuma's disciplinary hearing is expected to continue on Tuesday.
Zuma is scheduled to appear virtually before the party's disciplinary committee.

He is charged with bringing the party into disrepute after he formed and campaigned for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party while an ANC member.
In May, the ANC cancelled Zuma’s physical hearing over fears there would be dangerous clashes between the MK Party and ANC supporters.
The party has rejected Zuma’s request for a physical hearing.
Zuma was a no-show in his previous appearance, sending former ANC national executive committee member Tony Yengeni to represent him in his stead.
Yengeni told the disciplinary committee Zuma wants his hearing to be public, as he has nothing to hide.
However, this was also rejected.
