Zulu, Cele, Modise, Nxesi among notable exclusions in Ramaphosa's Cabinet
One such exclusion is former Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu, who served as a minister since 2014 but now finds herself out of parliament and cabinet.

CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Cabinet has seen a number of new faces, but there are some notable exclusions from the sixth administration.
One such exclusion is former Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu, who served as a minister since 2014 but now finds herself out of Parliament and Cabinet.
Zulu earlier hinted that serving as an ambassador was not out of the question.

Former Police Minister Bheki Cele and former Speaker, Thandi Modise, also find themselves in the political wilderness after losing their Cabinet positions.
Cele served as minister of police, having previously served as the deputy minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. He has been replaced by Senzo Mchunu as minister of police in the new Government of National Unity (GNU).

Modise, who had moved to defence, has since been replaced by Angie Motshekga as defence minister.
Former labour and employment minister, Thulas Nxesi, also finds himself outside of the Cabinet after failing to return.
While some former ministers like Pravin Gordhan and Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma announced their retirement from politics, others just failed to garner enough support to make it back to Parliament and Cabinet.
