Lesufi to announce Gauteng Cabinet on Monday night

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi will this evening announce his Cabinet. 

The members of Gauteng’s executive council for the seventh administration will be sworn in for the next five years. 

Lesufi was meant to announce his Cabinet last week, but at the eleventh hour, the announcement was postponed. 

This after parties in the provincial Government of Unity requested more time for negotiations. 

The GNU agreement at national level paved the way for parties in the province to find common ground. 

The portfolios of health, finance and community safety are among those many parties within Gauteng are hoping to attain. 

Lesufi will make his announcement at 7pm on Monday evening.
