IFP celebrates multiple by-elections victories in KZN

DURBAN - The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in Kwazulu-Natal has won seven wards in by-elections held in parts of the province on Wednesday.
About 12 by-elections took place at various municipalities in the province, and while the party retained two of its previous wards, it claimed four new ones from the African National Congress (ANC).
The party is celebrating this as a victory.

The party retained one seat each in the Nongoma and Pongola local municipalities and three new ones from Umzumbe, one in Umvoti and another in the Mthonjaneni Local Municipality.
