13 people killed on EC roads in two weeks

EASTERN CAPE - At least six people have died in a car crash involving three cars on the R61 near Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape.
The incident happened on Thursday bringing the total number of lives lost on the province’s roads to 13 in just two weeks.
The provincial transport department outlined that five people died on the scene while another died on arrival at a nearby hospital.
Eastern Cape Transport Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose said, "Yes we can confirm the death of six people in an accident that happened on the R61 near Cofimvaba. There was a third bakkie involved in the accident but thankfully, there were no serious injuries that emanated from the occupants of that bakkie."
