CAPE TOWN - The case against alleged underworld gang kingpin Nafiz Modack and fourteen others accused of racketeering and murder, among other charges, continues in the Western Cape High Court.

On Tuesday, the court shone the spotlight on one of the other accused Ashley Tabisher - who is a former Anti-Gang Unit member

Tabisher is accused of having a corrupt relationship with Modack and four of the other accused.

Earlier on Tuesday, the State told the court that some of the accused were part of the Junky Funky Kids gang operating in the Cape Flats.

Tabisher remarked that the only gang he was part of was the Anti-Gang Unit.

Tabisher went on to plead not guilty to corruption after the State alleged he gave Modack information on Anti-Gang Unit raids and court cases related to alleged gang activities.

Modack has so far pleaded not guilty to 24 of the 124 charges he is facing.

Ten of the other accused have also pleaded not guilty to the charges.
