Accused number two, Bongani Ntanzi, has put it on record for the first time that police apologised for assaulting him days after his arrest and offered him a bribe.
His lawyer, Thulani Mngomezulu, completed his cross-examination of Gininda but proceedings have halted for the State to acquire records from the accused’s first appearance at the Boksburg Magistrates Court.
This comes as the defence looks to prove that Ntanzi had distanced himself from the man believed to be his lawyer, Advocate Dominic Mjiyako.
