DURBAN - The African National Congress (ANC) has labelled MK party supporters who gathered outside the party’s headquarters in Johannesburg on Tuesday as attention-seeking.
The group gathered outside Luthuli House in Johannesburg on the day former President Jacob Zuma was meant to appear before the ANC's disciplinary committee.
However, the meeting was since postponed.
During his elections campaign trail in Inanda, north of Durban on Tuesday, ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula criticised the group.
"About 15 of them came to Luthuli House. It’s clear that they are just provocative and our decisions were vindicated, we were correct that they were there to promote anarchy."
Mbalula added that Zuma would still face the ANC's disciplinary processes but the focus for now was the upcoming elections.
