His family is not clear on how far police are with arresting the person or people who may have ordered the apparent hit.
The trio responsible for the murder of Joala and his bodyguard, Sifiso Shange, appeared before the Lenesia Magistrates Court on Monday, where their case was postponed to 4 June.
Khulekani Mdluli, Zamokuhle Ntombela, and Lindani Mtshali are facing charges including premeditated murder, murder, and attempted murder.
Joale’s family said they want those responsible to be brought to book.
“We as a family we want to see justice. We are really not involved in what they are doing. We are not sure how far they are in getting whoever is responsible or who has ordered this thing.”
The attempted murder charge relates to the shooting of Sithembiso Zungu. He said the ordeal has been traumatic.
“I get very emotional - I survived a brazen attack where two lives were lost. It was a terrible experience.”
Authorities said they are not ruling out any more arrests in the murder.
