JOHANNESBURG - Teaching and learning at a North West primary school is yet to resume after multiple classrooms were set on fire.

The provincial education department said a group stormed Tosca Primary and started the fire last week Friday.

The Labour Department closed a block of three classrooms because they weren’t up to scratch, raising the ire of residents.

Department spokesperson, Elias Malindi said they had ordered mobile classrooms.

"So according to the plan of the department is by tomorrow [Tuesday] at least if these mobile classrooms are at the site that has been identified and then it is anticipated teaching and learning could be able to resume tomorrow [Tuesday]."
