JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has told the Eldorado Park community not to make the same mistake of voting for the Patriotic Alliance (PA).
The red berets hosted a manifesto townhall meeting at the Joburg South area on Wednesday.
The meeting came after days of campaigning, door-to-door visits and clean-up initiatives by the EFF in Eldorado Park.
EFF leader Julius Malema said the PA had not done anything to decrease crime, drugs or gangsterism that continues to plague Eldorado Park.
"You cannot entrust our country in the hands of gangsters, in the hands of the corrupt, in the hands of the racist, you need to entrust this government in the hands that love black people. Who are the black people? Coloureds, Africans, Indians who were oppressed and this is the only organisation that represents those people."
In the 2021 local government elections, the PA got 63% of the votes in Eldorado Park while the EFF got 1%.
