Listen below. (Skip to 1:29).

Gilchrist reports on a retired US army colonel who sent classified Pentagon secrets about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine through a dating site to a woman he was talking to.

David Slater (63) is accused of illegally disclosing sensitive defence information.

Some of the questions she asked:

‘Dear, what is shown on the screen in your special operations room?’
‘How were your meetings with NATO?’
‘Are 100% of Russian troops located in Ukraine?’
‘Do NATO and Joe Biden have a secret plan to help us?’
“You would have thought that an alarm bell would have rung… Obviously, it’s just a casual interest isn’t it?”
- Adam Gilchrist, correspondent

Slater was arrested on 2 March 2024 for conspiring to transmit and transmitting classified information between February and April 2022.
