JOHANNESBURG - The case against controversial media personality Molemo "Jub Jub” Maarohanyane has been postponed to March.

Maarohanye briefly appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates on Monday.

He faces 13 charges including rape, indecent assault, kidnapping and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The case was postponed to 12 March to allow for further legal consultation between him and his lawyers.

The charges levelled against Maarohanye by several women date back to incidents that allegedly took place between 2006 and 2009.

Jub Jub was arrested in July 2023 after he handed himself over to the Brixton police station after a case was opened against him.

The Uyajola 9/9 presenter will remain on bail until his next court appearance.

Some of his bail conditions include that he should not communicate with the victims or the complainants, or attempt to be in contact with them.
