Cape Town International Airport sees record number of international passengers in December

Cape Town Air Access, powered by Wesgro, said this was the highest monthly total ever recorded in the history of the airport, beating the previous high of 290,000 in January 2020.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town International Airport welcomed a record 317,000 two-way international passengers in December. 

Cape Town Air Access, powered by Wesgro, said this was the highest monthly total ever recorded in the history of the airport, beating the previous high of 290,000 in January 2020. 

It's estimated foreign passengers injected almost R1.9 billion in direct tourism spend into the Western Cape economy in December.
