Cape Town is making strides in providing affordable housing.
Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and Infrastructure MEC Tertius Simmers have unveiled the first of three inner-city, mixed-use housing developments.
The housing is well located and aims to bridge the spatial divides.
“It may not be for someone who is stuck on the street. It is for someone who has a job in the city but cannot afford to buy property in the city.”
- Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape
Winde describes this as a landmark moment for affordable housing.
