CAPE TOWN - Anti-gang detectives are investigating a mass murder in Atlantis.
Five people were killed, and five others wounded in Wednesday’s gunfight.
No arrests have yet been made.
The police's Novela Potelwa said the attack is believed to be a gang hit.
"Western Cape anti-gang unit detectives worked through the night in search of gunmen who shot and killed five people between the ages of 18 and 30 on Wednesday evening in Atlantis. Five other people were wounded during the shooting incident. As the search continues, Atlantis police have opened murder and attempted murder dockets for investigation."
