President Cyril Ramaphosa stops for selfies at a Cape Town mall
President Cyril Ramaphosa is trending on social media, and it's got nothing to do this time with the GNU or Donald Trump.
It's a sweet gesture towards a young girl that captured attention, when he stopped to greet shoppers at a Cape Town mall.
The President encouraged people to step up for a selfie with him, but 'only the young ones and the old ones'.
Proud parents urged their children forward, as a beaming Ramaphosa posed with the little ones.
Glancing down, he noticed that one little girl's shoelace was untied.
The President spontaneously got down on bended knee to tie it for her, with the crowd erupting into a loud 'awww'.
Then, he was on his way again with his bodyguards.
