Transport department tracking down families of KZN crash victims

DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal transport department said its working to track down the families of the victims who died in a bus crash in the province in the early hours of Sunday morning.
 
Nine ANC supporters were killed and over 70 others injured when a bus travelling from Durban to Mpumalanga overturned near Paulpietersburg .
 
Officials said the victims were returning home after attending the party’s manifesto launch held at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Saturday.
  
KZN Transport Spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane said an investigation into the crash is underway.
 
"The road traffic management corporation will be activated to bring down forensic experts to establish the cause of the accident. The investigation will focus mainly on the road condition, the condition of the bus and the condition of the driver," said Ncalane.
