Members of the EFF and ANC as well as farmers from the Senekal area gathered outside the magistrates court on 16 October 2020 where the two men accused of the murder of farm manager Brendin Horner made their second court appearance.
Andre Pienaar was denied bail in the local magistrates court on Tuesday with the magistrate citing his ability to influence a group of protesters to the extent of setting a police van and parts of the court alight.

Police Minister Bheki Cele visited the family of 21-year-old Brendin Horner, who was killed earlier this month, apparently by stock thieves.
Twenty-two-year-old Horner's body was found tied to a pole last week in the area.
