Israel PM's wife convicted of misusing public funds
Sara Netanyahu was found guilty of exploiting the mistake of another person and ordered to pay a fine and compensation.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife Sara went on trial in October for allegedly using state funds to fraudulently pay for hundreds of meals.
Sara Netanyahu was charged with fraud and breach of trust and of aggravated fraudulent receipt of goods, according to the indictment.
The ministry statement said the attorney general was considering prosecuting Sara Netanyahu for offences that include fraudulently procuring items, fraud and breach of trust.
