Former Sans Souci pupil's case postponed
The 16-year old appeared in court earlier on Monday for a second appearance in-camera and her lawyers have requested a postponement.
The grade 9 pupil and a teacher landed in hot water after a video surfaced showing an altercation between them in a classroom.
In a statement sent by the grade nine learner’s legal representatives, the child’s withdrawal from the school was ‘prompted by concerns for her wellbeing’.
Clarisa Venter had also opened a case of assault against the grade nine learner, who also made an appearance in court on Wednesday.
The pair has been suspended pending the outcome of the hearings.
