FIKILE-NTSIKELELO MOYA: Asking Ramaphosa to leave over his funders is naive
Political parties and figures have been funded by business from time immemorial, writes Fikile-Ntsikelelo Moya.
In a statement, the Presidency says Ramaphosa will address the nation at a media briefing in Pretoria later on Sunday.
The presidency’s Khusela Diko says Ramaphosa identified deficiencies in law and fact in the preliminary report but these were not included in the final report.
The public protector has referred to sections of the Prevention and Combatting of Corrupt Activities Act which relate to gratification and the definition of corruption.
Ramaphosa was meant to respond last Friday, but due to pressing government matters, the president requested and was granted two extensions for the submission of his response.
