Suspect arrested for murder, rape of woman (21) in Soweto due in court
The 35-year-old man was arrested earlier this week while en route to Johannesburg.
The NSPCA found the animals in a dire condition at a farm owned by Pieter Steyn in Protea Glen in January 2017.

It’s understood the shootout on Monday occurred during a foiled business robbery in Randfontein.
Police say they are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Residents have vowed to continue with their protest if the police fail to deal with illegal land grabbers.
The community and unlawful squatters have been clashing in the area over the past week with residents insisting they're merely protecting their properties.
The community has been demonstrating since early Monday morning with several people being injured in clashes with officers.
Protests erupted on Monday morning as members of the community blocked a group from occupying land illegally.
Residents of Protea Glen are refusing to allow land grabbers near an open patch of land, saying the settlers will devalue their homes, steal their electricity and endanger their children.
The land occupiers clashed with police on Sunday after they tried to erect shacks on a vacant plot.
Earlier on Sunday, residents went on a rampage, barricading roads with rocks and burning tyres while claiming that they have received permission from the owners of the open field to build their homes.
About four structures have been demolished by police following a land occupation in Protea Glen.
About 200 people have threatened to stage protests if authorities keep evicting them from a piece of land next to where they live.
The group says they want space to erect their homes and the vacant piece of land is an ideal location.
Earlier this week, police dispersed a crowd in the area which was trying to illegally grab land, claiming they wanted the space to build their homes.
Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba says that he has increased his budget to service stands from R60 million to over R100 million in the next financial year and that residents must bear with the city.
The group earlier attempted to illegally grab land in Protea Glen, where they clashed with residents who already stay there.
