More than 51,000 people have signed an online petition to bring back TV presenter Katlego Maboe after he was suspended from the SABC 3 morning show Expresso.
According to Channel24, OUTsurance spokesperson Natasha Kawulesar said the company was aware of the issue surrounding Katlego Maboe and had engaged with him on the matter and would be removing all adverts with Maboe 'as soon as practically possible'.
The sponsorship was announced by Safa at its headquarters last week, but the matter has caused a row between football’s mother body and its league ever since.
As advocates for fair play, in a space traditionally dominated by males, the partnership will also seek to promote female match officials.
OUTsurance CEO Danie Matthee says there are apps that can check one's driving style and what speed they are driving at, which in turn can affect the insurance premium.
OUTsurance has since retracted the advert and has apologised, calling it an unintentional oversight.
The video was posted on Twitter and Facebook featuring mostly white dads and only one black father, causing a stir on social media.
