Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has apologised to parents for the delay in the opening of the online admission system which was scheduled to go live on Monday morning.
They system would be open from Monday for parents to familiarise themselves with it but can only file applications from next week Monday.
The system went live on Monday with the department receiving over 200,000 applications so far.
