Boy Mamabolo was ordered to apologise to Julius Malema and his wife Mantoa on all his social media platforms within 24 hours after he accused the red berets leader of abusing his wife.
The Polokwane High Court ordered ANC MP Boy Mamabolo to apologise to EFF leader Julius Malema and his wife Mantoa within 24 hours and refrain from making any other allegations.
The Malemas are suing Mamabolo for R2 million accusing him of defamation and demanding that he pays damages.
Last month, Boy Mamabolo apologised on social media after accusing Malema of abusing his wife during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address in Parliament.
She said that gender-based violence must never be used as a political weapon, adding that this week's events were an insult to all women, especially those who were victims of the crime.
The ANC MP snuck in an official apology via social media in the early hours of Friday morning.
During the State of the Nation Address debate on Wednesday, Boy Mamabolo accused Julius Malema of physically abusing his wife.
On Wednesday, Mantoa Malema’s lawyers demanded a retraction from Mamabolo adding that his failure to do so would cost him R1 million.
