68 Malmesbury prison escapees back in court today
The group of awaiting trial prisoners now face charges related to their escape after they broke out on Friday but were all rearrested by Sunday morning.
Minister Ronald Lamola visited the facility on Friday afternoon, where he said officials were working around the clock to apprehend three inmates who were still at large.
Sixty-six of the 69 inmates that escaped from the facility on Friday have been rearrested, and an emergency support team has been deployed to monitor the situation at the facility.

According to the Correctional Services Department, officials were providing lunch to the inmates when they were overpowered by the offenders who then managed to escape.
