Heavy rains lead to flooding on the M1
Motorists are being turned away from the M1 double-decker carriage where some vehicles are trapped due to flooding.
The construction which started earlier this year has led to lane restrictions & closures on the M1 Highway.
The Johannesburg Roads Agency has extended the expected completion date of the M1 freeway project following labour disputes and unexpected geo-technical issues.
This morning, the JRA closed one of the lanes on the southbound carriage way.
